Age group athletes of Astana are among prizers of Kazakhstan Championship

Triathlon strongly holds the position of one of the trendiest sports nowadays. People want to train smarter, run faster, achieve the highest results and that is why they choose triathlon. While kids start training from early childhood with a view to Olympic Games at the age of 18 or even earlier, adults are not left behind. Furthermore, they do not lose a chance to show what they are made of.

 Age group athletes were competing for Kazakhstan Republic Cup on sprint distance, 7th-8th July 2018. Kokshetau hosted athletes with an opportunity to be a part of one of the historical cities in Kazakhstan.

Triathletes overcame 300m of swimming section in the warm water of Burabai Lake. After 8 km of riding a bike, last 2 km of a run was a crucial stage for our athletes.

The head coach of Astana Triathlon Federation, Murat Aubakirov, and Vadim Shulimov earned Kazakhstan Republic cup in own age categories. Joining them on the podium were Aigerim Zhaguparova and Murat Kasimov becoming silver medalists.
